Question

Cre0 4.0 Drawing mode. Can you dimension the sketches in drawing mode?

Hey guys,

is it possible to dimension the sketch I create in the drawing mode?

I am creating a drawing and need to make a Datum plane call out. Because in Creo 4.0 it dissapeared. I want to make sure my blocks are the same size. But I can't find anything that can control the dimensions of the sketches I am creating.

Thank you very much for your help

I would start by making a grid with the height (Y)  and width (X) of the finished block and then setting the origin to wherever required. Then choose snap to the grid. Draw the box. Turn off the grid snap and reset the grid origin. Then place whatever else is required and create a symbol, copying the example from the drawing. There are other posts about changing the text in a symbol to be variable so you can just place it as a symbol where you want.
