Creating a Datum Plane with an angle (offset rotation)

I'm trying to create a plane through an axis at an angle to an existing datum plane. If I want to set an angle of 45 degs for example, sometimes it's 45, sometimes it's 225. The 225 is bothersome. Is there a trick to have it flip from 225 to 45?

This brings up a memory from way back in rev 6 or 7.

Depending on the order that you pick the datum planes when creating an axis, the label on the axis will be on one end or the other, and that will determine where any angles built off that axis originate.

I don't know if this is still true. You'll have to test it.

There's a simple workaround. If you start to create a datum plane as
described and it comes up as, for example 315 degrees and you want 45
degrees you can get the dimensional display you want by changing the
rotation angle. Type in -45 degrees and hit Enter. The dimensional
display will change to 45 degrees with the direction arrow staying in
the same orientation
