Dear friends,

Does it makes difference in analysis if we create a datum point in creo parametric or in creo simulate?

since i need to use that datum point as a constraint for analysis.

Thanks in advance,

Paramesh

I don't believe it matters where the point is created.

If the point is only required for analysis, then creating it within Simulate avoids cluttering up the 'real' model tree.

It shouldn't matter, but keep in mind that you can't pattern or mirror datum points on the simulate side.

If you need a datum point to affect the mesh (whether created in Creo or Simulate), don't forget to make it a 'hard point' using Autogem controls otherwise it is ignored.
