Question

Deleting Pattern does note delete quantity dimension in family table.

I am using Creo 9.0.8.0 and in the process of obsoleting some parts.

I delete a couple of patterns of parts (stacked on a skid), but the quantity dimension is left behind (orphaned?). Is this a bug?

Before deletion (I hadn't saved, so I exited and started over)

After deletion

Thanks, Dale

FYI, The Delete option was used and not Delete Pattern and then Delete object that was patterned.

Hi @Dale_Rosema ,

It does not look like there was any progress on this post since it was created. Is there any more information that can be shared about the initial assembly preparation, patterns, and family table?  I attempted to zoom in on the image on a large, maximized, and already zoomed browser but I am not able to understand the details from the partial images of the family table.

I am a stand alone user (i.e. no windchill) and I work a lot in family tables.

One thing is a dummy model (no model - just parameters) that I use for polybags, bubble wrap, foam sheets, ….

A certain type of foam is being discontinued. I would open the generic which had the patterned part 9567.prt in it. The part was patterned in the vertical direction 0.005” from the top plane for the number of sheets needed (2, 3, 4, ...). Forgetting this issue, in the model tree I would click on the pattern and click delete (instead of delete pattern which is right above it - trying to avoid to do two deletes - pattern then part). This would leave the column in the family table with the pattern number while deleting the part. So the column, e.g. p36, would remain, while M#### 9567, was deleted.
