Question

Display Decimal Feet in Drawing

We use Creo for water treatment equipment. The industry standard (for most construction work) is decimal feet and inches for dimensions, but decimal feet for elevations. How can we do this? Currently we dimension in fractional feet and inches, but this gets a lot of blowback from Process and Civil engineers. Does anyone know how we can change select dimensions to be decimal feet?

I am in the same situation as you... "Working for a company in the Water Treatment industry" Using CREO 2.0
the way we get the elevations to display in Feet / Decimal is we create a parameter for each of the elevations we typically show on the general arrangement DWG. and we place this parameter on the drawing using a symbol that calls out the Parameter. That is our solution... I do not think there is a way to do it with dimensions...

David,

Thank you for this idea. We will look into it. Definitely not a great option, but better than anything we had come up w/.

Side note... we occasionally buy DAF units from you guys.
