draft symbol in text

Hello again,

I am sure that I have done this in the past but cannot find any notes
explaining how. What is the syntax for calling a draft symbol, maybe a
surface finish mark, from text?

Thanks in advance,

&sym(symbol_name)

Eric

Also the symbol must exist in the drawing somewhere before this will work.

&sym(symbol_name)

&sym(symbol_name)

Does that mean the name you see when you switch between symbols & dimensions?

That is the name of your symbol. (ex. flag.sym.1) You would put "&sym(flag)" in your note, without the quotation marks.
If it has variables assigned to it, you will be prompted for a value.

Hope this helps,
