Exporting to 2D dxf filed

I have a vendor that is asking for a 2D dxf file for their software.

What is the best way to export (if there is one) to a 2d dxf file.

You will need to create a Creo drawing to export 2D-DXF. I would drop the orthogonal views needed on a drawing at 1:1 and save the drawing as DXF.

    After setting the views to 1:1.

    I opened the .dxf files in Draftsight (similar to AutoCAD) and deleted all the borders, dimensions leaving just the three orthogonal views.

    I was close the first time, just wasn't sure what this vendor wanted compared to our sheet metal vendor.

    Our method is to make a 1:1 scale drawing, no format. Depending on what the file is being used to program (waterjet? laser?) I might omit any text from the file. This is because on one noteable occasion I got back parts that were geometrically fine, with the text of my part marking cut completely thru the part. Fortunately in an area that didn't affect the use of the part. Kind of funny, actually, but I'm glad I didn't use a larger font...
