How splice a wire to a cable fiber

The help file for Creo Schematic 1.0 indicates the mouse over shape will change to a T indicating a splice point. The only option I have is to add multiple wires to a connector port. I want a solder joint before the connector and only one wire to the connector port. How is this done?
