Question

How to animate hook movement

Does anyone know the easiest way to animate the movement of a hook.

The hook is placed on a lid and snaps into a base.

The lid is constrained with an opening angle in the assembly.

The hook in the lid is also constrained with an angle.

On top there is a moving part in the base part too, also constrained with an angle..

For now I made relations between the opening angle and the two other angles.

Regenerating each time the opening angle is changed.

Challenges:

- There is no clear relation between the angles, as the hook snaps in and so on.

- When the lid opens the relation between the angles are different compared to when the lid closes.

Can Flexible modeling or another part of Creo3 do the trick?

Erik

Do you have a picture of all this? A picture says more than a thousand words!
