How to undo joints in Advance Framework Extension (AFX)?

Hello
I'm using AFX to design a 3D model of a go-kart chassis for my senior design project. After creating the profile pipes for the frame, I'm trying to connect the profiles together using a mitter joint, but sometimes when I select two profiles, the pipes are cut either too deeply or unevenly.
I uploaded some images to show. Any help is greatly appreciated!
