interchange assembly vs family table

Hello All,

I have assembly which having many variants means assembly parts are on and off in different variant. these things can be possible in simp rep, family table and interchange assembly. but i want to give different assembly number for different variant. i want each drawings for each assembly. which method i should follow to avoid future issue. i need your experties suggestion for my problem.
