Interference check for assemblability

New to creo here:
I am designing a sheet metal part that slides through an angled slit in an assembly and then curves upwards; I want to make sure I can assemble it. Ideally, I want to move the parts in space and have collision detection keep it from going through the assembly so that if I can get it into position, I can assemble it in real life. Can this be done? Best practices?
