Intralink 9.1 IE script error

Intralink 9.1 has become pretty much unusable due to IE script error and server unavailable error.
Upon trying to add an object to a workspace using Intralink we are receiving an IE script error followed by the "Server is unavailable, do you want to work off line ? "message.This is also happening when trying to check-in an object.
This does not oocur if we open the object in Wildfire which autmatically adds it to the workspce or if we check-in the objects using Wildfire.
