LINKING DETAIL ITEM NO WITH BOM

I have created an assembly in drawing. Now I am making detail of a part in the same drawing. I itemized it as per the BOM table. Now due to a change in the BOM table, the item no of same part in BOM has changed. How do I link it with the Item no given to my detail. Can I use Create Balloon by record. If yes HOW?

BOM tables and related balloon values are internal to Creo and not usable for other purposes.

You can FIX the BOM table so the item numbers do not change without user intervention.

Besides Fix Index, if you like, you could have a custom BOM balloon which calls not rpt.index, but something else, perhaps rpt.rel.myindex, which you can drive by what means you like.

Hi Matthew,

I sorted my BOM as per how the item is called in assembly. There seems to be no movement now. But ca you please share how Fix Index works?
