managing units

Hi,

My prt and asm units are setup on millimeter Newton Second (mmNs).

So pro_mp_mass is in tonnes.

However, I would like to dispay mass in kilogram on drawing.

Is it possible to manage the unit of pro_mp_mass in a drawing table ?

(Without to write a relation in each part like "my_mass=pro_mp_mass/1000)...

change units in your models to mm kg sec. Change it in your start templates for future using...

It doesn´t matter if you are using Kg or Newtons. Only diference can be in FEM analysis. The output from calculation can be in MPa instead of Pa. No influence for regular modeling.

That's I've always did.

But I need to send those files to company that makes FEM and dynamics analysis for me.
They asked me to use mmNs, so I can't use my drawing templates with Pro_mp_mass anymore...

Can´t help you My praxis is following: Using kg for regular modeling and change it to Newtons for FEM.

How many components do you send them? Just a few? They can change units to Newtons for FEM using.

If you don´t wish to use relations than l have no idea how to solve your problem

If you can't change the models' units, and you don't want to write relations in the model, then maybe consider writing relations in the drawing table. You just need a repeat region - even a single cell repeat region will work.
