Model Break View

Does anyone have a idea how to handle the usage of broken views in MBD. For example when having a long model and want to show it like how it was done on drawing with broken view?

What about using one Combined State as 'Site or Model map' with simple annotations pointing to the respective detail area. These annotations can be used as internal links to point to another Combined State showing the intended detail. This can be even more flexible than a historic 'broken view'. (Internal links availabel from Creo 3 onwards)
