Pattern a hole on a cone surface normal to the surface

Is it possible to pattern a hole on a surface that is cone shaped, the direction of the holes must be normal to the surface. In solidworks this was very easy using a 3D sketch

Yes, it is possible.

Generally, you would create a group of features.

1) Point on cone surface

2) Axis through point, normal to cone surface

3) Coaxial hole

Consider using a reference pattern to save on regeneration overhead where possible.

Refer to this thread for examples of holes normal to surface that are patterned. Take a look at the part models and links posted. Your problem is a subset of what is discussed here but it will provide insight into what is possible in Creo and how to create the features.

the surface is not an actual cone but if i try the geometry pattern the axis are paralell, the refference pantern stays greyd out

The general method I posted above should work regardless of the topology of the surface (assuming Creo can determine a surface normal of the surface). Without more detail on exactly what you are working with it is hard to make suggestions. Post a picture or ideally a simplified test case model. I can only work with up to Creo 9 at the moment.
