Piping: Moving Fittings

Greetings All,

Does anyone know how to move fittings that are already placed in a model?

When redefining a fitting, it gives you the option to redefine a point and change the orientation, which only allows you to pick a point on the fitting but not adjust the distance from plane that was the initial datum for originally locating that fitting.

I am lengthening pipes by 9 inches and after repetitive attempts, It appears that to adjust the location of a fitting on a pipe you have to delete the fitting and redo the process.  Although this is only a few clicks extra, when changing 20 fittings, as any engineer knows, it adds up.

 I was hoping that a prompt for the reference plane would show....If I am increasing the length of a pipe I would want to shift the Z location from the reference plane by a proportional amount from the original, referenced location. What am I missing?
