Pro/Weld and fixing regen failures

Question

~hey all,One of the frustrating things about Pro/Weld is knowing what edges to reselect during a regen failure and redefine. It is ~very easy to lose edge references during product redesign sessions involving weld features. Unlike missing references in extrudes that highlight in sketcher, you have no visual way of knowing what edge was being used in the weld def--at least in my experience. So you simply suppress the weld feature and move on, never knowing what weld you just nuked.-Or- is there a way to identify the references once lost that I am unaware of? We like using the module--aids in cost analysis and routings. Using WF4 and Light welds...your replies are appreciated..._mark This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. i find it best to first create a sketch using the sketcher tool and then attaching the weld to that using pro-weld light. any failure in the future will only require that you fix the sketch instead of the weld.

in wildfire 2 you could start the weld and then create a sketch on the fly and the weld would automatically group itself. as of wildfire 3 this went away.
