Screw thread - moving constraint

I understand most of the basic sorts of movable attachments like planar and pin, but I'm wondernig if it's possible to have a nut constrained to a thread and when you do the drag feature, have the nut spin down the thread. Is that possible?

Possible.

Create a helical curve on the Screw.

Create a Point on the Nut. Nut ID should be equal to the Screw OD.

Constraints them as follows

  1. Axis alignment of Nut and Screw
  2. Point on Curve
  3. Remove the "tick" mark on Automatic placements.

Hi Christian.

I found that connection with point on curve a little unstable and it obviously takes quite a lot of CPU power. Therefore I prefer a cylinder connection in combination with a rack&pinion gear corresponding to the thread pitch.
