Set PRO_MP_MASS from Family Table?

I have a family table of connectors that I have made. I need accurate mass properties for each instance when I use them in an assembly. I can't just apply a material to the generic because the mass doesn't scale linearly with volume (the connectors are inseparable assemblies made up of different materials). I have measured mass values for each connector, so I just want to force Creo to grab the mass of each instance out of the family table. I can't seem to figure out how to do this, if it is even possible.

Does anyone know if I can do this?

Set the mass properties mode of the generic to "Geometry and Parameters". Then, add PRO_MP_ALT_MASS to the family table by adding a parameter and selecting "alternate mass properties" in the bottom right of the parameters window.
