Question

Tabulate sketch inputs and results

I have a user who is trying to tabulate changes to a sketch dimension, and the resultant values on other sketch dimensions. I have tried making family table instances where the lower dimension increments but repeat region table can only capture family table elements, not other affected model results not in the family table. looking for options.

One option is to create an annotation note (using the dim values of interest in the note) and display it in the model. The note will update with regeneration of the part. The note will be visible when annotations are displayed if set to be flat to screen.

Here is an example of a 3D annotation note used to track the value of a derived parameter from relations in a part model.

True, but that would still require me to open and edit the base dimension each time, correct? Or open each instance to see the note.

Maybe, without access to your model(s) I am speculating on how to manage the design intent without context. I am not totally clear on what your requirements are.

Look at this old thread where a solid rocket motor "burn" is modeled with geometry and semi-automated using relations and analysis features. It also uses the annotation notes to show derived parameters for each step of the burn.

I'll take a look. Thanks for the reference!
