TDP approach

We have an end item whose parts will be either scrapped/melted (internal components) or salvaged (external). This resembles building a TDP in a top-down approach but not quite sure how to remove those components in the otherassembly. Its like deleting material in assembly (a no-no). Also need to keep the BOM association.
