Today's date and &todays_date and updating today's date or &todays_date

Is there a method anyone has (macros or otherwise) to update the date on drawings? 

 

Currently, I use &todays_date on format, but when I PDF out a drawing I need a date for the day I PDFed it out on the drawing. I know people are doing this, I'm just not sure how, well past manually updating it.

Are you manually creating the PDFs from Creo Parametric or are you using PDFs created by Windchill?

Not Windchill.

There is nothing in Creo that will automatically update a parameter to the current date every time a file is opened.  You could probably create a mapkey or other custom automation that will do this for you.  Take a look at these threads:
