Question

You (yes, YOU) should present at PTC Live Global

What are the plans, if any, for Arbortext technical presentations by PTC,
partners, and customers? Last year there were none and the Service
conference where the only Arbortext material was presented, was not
technical.

We're trying to determine the relevance of this event in light of this year's changes.

We already gave up even before last year.

I responded back to the sender asking why bother, they no longer support Epic at the conference.

I continued to be mystified as to why PTC and especially PTC USER would think Arbortext users are not interested in "seeking proven best practices, tips and tricks, and stories of innovation from other PTC customers." In fact, hundreds of people used to attend Arbortext User Group International (AUGI) events every year. And the product line has expanded a lot since then.

Does anyone know their justification for this decision? I cannot imagine what it would be.

If no one knows, I am inclined to contact PTC USER and ask.

Epic is not even listed as one of their products in the 2013 PTC Live Global event.

I have not attended an event since PTC acquired Arbortext and kicked it to the curb. Obviously PTC is not listening to a very healthy and diverse user base.

I just posted this on the PTC Facebook page, let us see what falls out.

"I would LOVE to know why I got an email from PTC asking me to submit a
paper for the 2013 PTC Live Global event.

My primary PTC product is Arbortext and PTC HAS NOT INCLUDED ARBORTEXT IN
ANY OF THE PAST TWO EVENTS.

If you are going to exclude one of your product bases, PLEASE TOTALLY
EXCLUDE US and DO NOT dangle a carrot in our faces."

Perhaps the Arbortext user group should organize a conference. That's how PTC User got going.
