We are going to switch to WF4 in a few months and I am going through all of the UDF's to ensure they behave as they should and I noticed something. Most UDF's that we've made are placed using the new UDF interface. At least one however (attached) uses the old interfaces that walks through placement rather than the "slick new" interface. Can anyone explain why?I don't mind the new interface BTW but like others have mentioned, it presents itself as something you need to figure out rather than something that shows you how it's to be placed. It also requires more mouse picks.

All, From a co-worker (Sue):The answer is the file needs to be converted in Excel. Go to the "office button"and select convert. This saves the file in the most up-to-date state.See attached. I am sure there is a more high level cure for this. In the meantime, we can keep rolling. Thanks to those who assisted with this.They got the thought process going. I am a new user and having problems creating a rabbit around an object. I have included a jpg. It shows a box around the edge i want the shape cut out of. Beside that an "L" shape to represent 0.125 x 0.125. I would like to know how to cut the "L" shape out all around the top edge of the object. In the wood shop I'd call this a rabbit. One method I came up with was to offset all the edges in 0.125 as a sketch then extrude the sketch up 0.125. This didn't work because I couldn't get holes to cut through the two individual surfaces. I think there may be a way to join the two pieces then cut the holes but I haven't figured it out. Thanks in advance for any help.

In 1995 I put in several enhancement requests (don't really know the process now) to add some simple functionality that would boost measurement productivity greatly. Enhancements have been very minimal to the measurement tool since 1995. My requests were based around a toggle that would show not only closest but the farthest two items are away from one another. Currently, the measure tool gives the closest ONLY! You know...., the farthest measurement is there in the geometry and arguably more relevant in most cases. Pro/E knows what it is but just won't give it up short of going in and spending 10 minutes putting in datums/curves/ect to get to it. Give us a measurement toggle please, it can't be that tough to put it into the software. It's low hanging fruit guys! What do you think?

Wenn ich in Annotation die Zeichnung als Bild speichern möchte, kann ich nichts auswählen. Wie kann ich die Zeichnung als Bild abspeichern, so das ich das auch nachher in Word, Excel oä. verwenden kann? Oder geht das generell nicht?
