So I was looking at some ideas for packaging some batteries, when I cameacross this one. I was wondering if anyone had a supplier for this typeof extrusion. I need a flat piece of aluminum that I can screw to fromthe bottom and the top. Any other ideas would help. Do you know of anysupplier that might have sample models? I know that most will havestandard extrusions that they use.Regards,Alfonso Medina O.Mechanical Engineer- Tel: 858-413-1720 x794Fax: 858-413-1733ISE Corporation12302 Kerran StreetPoway, CA 92064

Here is a another list that has quite a few WF4 updates.(Originally from a helpful PTC tech rep, then edited.)Would still be good if Pro/E had pop-up descriptions for the icons, as well as for the little boxes next to them.Regards, Terry
At our company the normal 3D seat configuration comes with the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical (5-button). We have learned that... We need to use driver version 5.2 or we will have anomalies. Use a PS/2 adapter rather than the USB port. This will eliminate the click-click anomaly. The PTC support desk says that only 3-button mice are supported. So I would like to know from the users. What brands are showing the least amount of problems?[/b]
I have created hundreds of skeletons but never had a time where I had my create skeleton option greyed out. Any ideas????
I have a user who's trying to open Unigraphics files in ProE. He claims he was able to do this before. The UG files use the same extension as ProE, .prt. When we try to open these files now, it gives an error: "To Open unigraphics file, you must select the 'Unigraphics (*.prt)' filter." However, when I look in the list file types on the 'open' dialog box, Unigraphics is not listed. Is this 'filter' installed separately? I never saw this work myself, but the user claims it worked only a couple of weeks ago.
Can someone tell me how to create a cross section in Mechanica. I would like to view the internal stresses of different sections in my 3D model. Thanks for your help.
Hola,I'm looking for a way to model a Sandvik Capto shank, ISO 26623-1. It sort of resembles a Wankel rotor except that the lobes are not constant radius, but driven by an equation.TIAPeter BrownJarvis Products Corp

Has anyone had any experience with using Pro/E thru the Log Me Inprogram? We would like to experiment with this to see if we could usethis as an option from another desktop. Thanks in advance. My friday topic is a request. Years ago, someone sent out or I came across a "ten commandments" of pro/e. Things you shouldn't or should do.Stuff like "thou shall not sketch all features in one sketch" and "thou shall only use shown dimensions" (no, please, no, don't send any emails on created vs. shown dims)I think it would be good to share it with my co-workers here.thanks,

Hello,

I'm trying to create a couple of pieces of railroad track. So far, I've designed a straight piece of rail, as pictured below. Is there a way to curve the piece of rail by choosing the base face of the rail, selecting a "bend" option, entering the degrees and radius of the bend, and then have the rail form into the exact curve and length? Or is it possible to extrude the rail on a curve for a specified length?

Also, I am attempting to build a crossover, in which pieces of rail intersect. Any suggestion on how to shave down the rail so they come to a point?

Thanks in advance,

Stewart

<img title=""Rail"" height=""520"" alt=""Rail"" src=""http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x16/smonteijr/OGR/rail.jpg"" width=""549"" border=""0"" />

We are looking at Upgrading to Windchill 9.1 - is it ready to use:YesNoWhat have you found to be pros and cons?Thanks,Chris
Does anyone have an average value to perform a mouse operation in Pro/E?I know sounds absurd, but I recall seeing some figures when Wildfire 1.0 was introduced, eliminated x% mouse operations or the like.I believe PTC continues Human Factors engineering on the UI for Pro/E and Windchill, perhaps they have published some findings.Save Time, Save money, upgrade, streamline yada yada...So we do that, but how do we prove we are heading in the right direction?Would be helpful if you could post a reference link to a computer science study or what not.Then I can estimate savings when I knock a few mouse operations off replace them with a good ole fashion mapkey!Cheers and TIA,Andrew AmsdenCAD\PDM AdministratorMidmark Corporation937-526-8770
HelpWhen a circle is drawn on a cad program it is a series of straightlines. In Pro-e the number of straight lines is changeable.How and where is this done on WF-4TIA
hi there can someone please explain motion analysis capabilities on skeleton models? i mean what kind of analysis can you perform on skeleton models? can i do position,velocity and acceleration analysis on skeleton models? if possible please explain how.
Howdy. I have already rec'd 4 replies that confirm it is not caused by the EvoluentDriver... But there is another user that gets the same thing and usesregulah mice.... I might work with him to see if there is an obviousoverlap of SW that might be the cause. Thanks a lot for replies ! -Nate _____
