We are using Wildfire 3.0 build M080 and have been trying to make the 45º chamfer note text format be "<linear dimension="> X 45º", however we only seem to be able to get "45º X <linear dimension=">". In other words, what we want is something like "3.5 X 45º" but all we seem to be able to get is "45º X 3.5". Makes no difference to me, but the powers that be around here would like to see it they way they want. My understanding is that there is one setting in the DTL file: CHAMFER_45DEG_DIM_TEXT which I have set to "iso/din", however that produces the "45º X 3.5" type dimension. The other value for CHAMFER_45DEG_DIM_TEXT is "jis", but that also produces the "45º X 3.5" type. The Help Center shows the following which looks like the "iso/din" would produce the dimension we want, so where are we going wrong? Or is this just another PTC "bug"? Pro's It feels like Monday and I am in need of some assistance finding a good utility for a client that does not have CAD at all but wants to be able to measure and maybe markup 3D models of Pro-E parts (2001, WF2, WF3). I am looking for a well written book to help me improve my Pro/E skills. I took a 1 semester course on Pro/E so I have a general undestanding of the basic fuctions but would like to have a decent referrence book that will take me further. Any recommendations? Thank you, Boris.

What can I say, I screwed up and saved a temp assy I was using to make amerge, now I can't seem to get rid of the ghost object.I don't remember it being such a pain to get it fixed. The answer to this is no, this isn't possible.  How frustrating.Several suggested unbending the 90 degree wall completely and then adding in an 85 degree bend.  I did try that, but didn't have any luck getting it to work.  Perhaps with some more attempts I would have gotten there, but I gave up.I managed to workaround my situation and get what I needed, but a simple partial unbend would have made it so much easier.Full summary below.Doug Schaefer

Hallo beisammen, ich bin neu hier und habe gerade das 3D CoCreate OneSpace installiert. Leider habe im Modellierfenster immer die Mauspur als kleine gelbe Kreuze drin. Erst beim Refresh verschwinden diese wieder und ersetzen sich natürlich gleich durch neue Spuren. Was kann ich tun? Was sollte ich einstellen? Der Rechner ist fast neu und schnell. Most of the responses indicated that if the cardboard material wasmodeled correctly (not necessarily easy to do), that a buckling analysismight provide some feedback for comparison purposes. However, mostpeople thought the results would be crude and not very conservative,since the box would probably crush somewhat before the total collapse. Thanks for all the responses. Has anyone tried to use Mechanica for a crush analysis on a cardboardbox or drum? I have a user that is interested in seeing if Mechanicacould tell him how high he could stack boxes (or cardboard drums) beforethe bottom one crushes under the load.
