If you would, please reply with a name or web address ifyou know one. Please do not tell me about Ghostscript, I am aware ofthat software.Regards,Andrew AmsdenCAD/PDM AdminMidmark Corporation***** NOTICE *****If you are not the intended recipient of this email, you are notified that disclosing, copying, distributing, or taking any action in reliance on the contents of this email and any files transmitted with it is strictly prohibited. Sorry for the delayed summary. Try the McMaster-Carr site:http://www.mcmaster.com/They have a lot of 3D models of springs... Have you looked to this website(http://www.mcadcentral.com/proe/files/gallery.asp?categoryid=15)? Ihave not this specific model. However, I have been pleased with otherfasteners that I have downloaded from this site. Thanks to all those who replied! I also received a spring similar tothe one on mcadcentral.I will look through these sites. Thanks again,-Tom

I have had an interruption, and loss, of my emails so bear with me.New issue. This place really needs an A/B laser printer. Anyone got anyrecommendations? Dear ProM's,This is probably a bit basic, but I feel compelled to ask the question. Inthe practical use of mechanica, I am having a bit of a problemunderstanding what practical uses there are for springs in analysis. Cansomeone give me a practical example? Maybe a short description of theintended use for springs?Any help would be greatly appreciated...Greg Saiter....
Does anyone have an extension spring with cross-over hooks modeled thatthey are willing to share? Or, know where I can download? Thanks,-Tom FeldmannThe Toro Company

After reordering a bolt to the bottom of the model tree and redefinig that bolt three totally unrealted components disappear from the model tree and display.
According to the replies and to tech support this cannot be done. Whenyou insert a new row, it copies the default text style not the rowbefore it. One suggestion is just to create a table text style and setthat to be default before inserting the row. Oh well...I guess I willjust have to live with it. Eric
Hello every body. But where can I find a promechanical (FEA) fourum? Thanks.
Hello,I have a lot of them on my FTP site.ftp.bearsfeat.com
Hi, OK i accept my mistake & i assure you that in future such thing won't happen again. some friends have mentioned the truth that we are more interested in taking rather then giving ( we read the answers to our questions but do not post a summary ) and i accept honestly that i also belonged to the same clan but i am out of it, also we must comunicate (Queries or answer summary) such that it is easily understandable by the intended reciepient. One request i have that please don't take it to a particular community or country after all we are here to create a knowledge base for all of us and for the future to come, regardless of caste and creed. Thanks & regards Pradip
Michael,Please don't get the wrong idea... I love with WF2 - almost as much as Ilove this forum. I am only using this forum to ramp up my productivity asquickly as possible. If I sounded whiny, it is only because I am tired. And that is not the fault of any software...Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer. I will summarize in a bit.-Nathan
Sorry, but I'm resending this to see if it shows up this time.
I've created a helical coil that varies both in pitch and in diameter. I want to know how long the piece of wire that creates the coil would be. Can Wildfire 2 tell me this? I really don't want to have to brute-force calculate the length of Pro/E can do it for me. ThanksAdrian
What are you thoughts, both good and bad, on Wacom tablets and/or spaceballs? Im thinking about giving one/both a whirl, but I hoping to getsome feed back from the group about your experiences first. What is thelearning curve like? Does it really give the productivity gains thatthe manufactures claim? Any additional benefits that you wasntexpecting (i.e. reduced fatigue, less carpel tunnel pain, etc..)? Anystability issues? Any information you could provide is welcome. oK, it's not friday, but it seems like a friday tread.Following all the treads isn't that easy for every user from foreigncountries. But have in mind, that the most countries have CAD forums too. Everbody hasdo find his own decision, which forum is the best for him. I'm from Germany and prefer this user group for fast and accurate response.BTW, if I can read the answers to my questions I can post a summary too. It's a question of honor to give if you take. Thats the spirit of allforums. Uwe> > Not to add fuel to the fire or take this too far off topic > but this exact thing crossed my mind this morning when I read > the posts.
