Hello, in order to support a "trivial change" (ex: correct the description of released object), we are willing to programmatically create a new iteration of EPDMDocuments (resp. WTParts). This has 2 targetskeep the "released" iteration unchanged, usable in BOMs (using filter)the new iteration get a status "trivial change" allowing user to modify it until it gets validated. The first attempt was to checkout/checkin the "released" iteration, but for some older data, some attribute values are not allowed anymore by the datamodel and we get an EPMNonOverrideableConflictException during the checkin operation... Creating iterations directly seems not to be supported by PTC, The PersistenceManager store the iteration with a new creation date (instead of using the creation date of the revision). Does someone already has a similar case ? Or an Idea how we can handle this use case ? 

I was trying my first Simulation in Creo Ansys Simulation, facing an issue during creation of mesh. I have a head scratcher but not 100% sure where the fault lies. I have a custom BOM report that I've used for years. Its built with JSP and makes use of the multilevelbom with replacements except I am feeding it a level limit of 1, so I have a custom BOM Report Tree Handler that is called out. There is also a custom CSS file as well.  The main function is to display the BOM complelely and not have to expand tables so you can print the page. The issue reported to me is with a very large BOM with 131 elements. Here is how the end of the table is rendered: Notice how there are rows containing no text. I can confirm by inspecting elements that there is nothing being shown. However, if I shrink the browser zoom, more rows of text start appearing. above is 67% and below is 50% where the rows fully display. The same occurs in reverse if I increase zoom beyond 100%. Es wird nur ein Bauteil erzeugt, das ausschließlich die beibehaltene Geometrie beinhaltet, zwischen diesen beiden Körpern wird keine Verbindung erstellt. Die Optimierung zeigt auch nur eine Zeit von 00:01.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: We have 2 versioning schemes, numeric for NPD and alpha for production. With promotions items can be auto revised when promoting to the production gate, which in turn moves them to production released. A requirement I have is to only enable the revise action within a change context. A promotion is not considered inside of the change context so the auto revise is not working if I have the "Revise in Change Process" preference enabled.Description: How can I auto revise the objects moving from the development state to production state (and ultimately the production released) within the change context? I cannot find anything in the API to revise in a change notice/activity similar to how a promotion can revise objects.I considered creating a promotion inside the cn workflow but I am unsure if that will work. Hi, I am working on IFX custom library creation for my company.I have more than 1300 screws with 4-5 categories .I can not use dat files with category name and multiple parts from same category in the file. As i just dont have differentiation on Top category, i have different variations in sizes, lengths, then material, finish, drive types. I am now creating individual .dat file with info value placed in them showing part number, its size, length, material, finish, drive types.So, my top level category shows around 200 screws in one category dropdown,then each row shows, its name and other attributes. Is their any way we can add multiple options of dropdowns to select from, like length, or thread what we have. SO extra dropdowns for material, drive type.

We are currently in the process of planning the purchase of a new ERP system. We've narrowed it down to Syteline from Infor and Syspro. My interest is integration with Windchill PDMLink to push / pull BOM information, access to viewables (pdfs generated by Windchill, possibly the productview viewables of models - make them available through ERP system) and application of an electronic Engineering Change system. So far the two companies, their respective VARs actually, seem to have totally different approaches / thoughts on this.Infor - Syteline VAR - PLM system should control all the engineering data, generate P/Ns, be the master of the BOM and may be the better path for the Engineering Change system. Detailed that they typically exchange the information with XML files etc., triggered by certain events on either side of the PLM - ERP connection. I'm a mechanical engineer who's been using Creo Parametric (formerly Pro/ENGINEER) for over 20 years.  If I were to start a beginner level Creo Parametric course for local High School students, what free training materials (from PTC or other) - books, PDFs, online tutorials - would you recommend we use?  Also, any idea who at PTC might be willing to provide support in this endeavor?  Got an email address for them?  Any comments regarding students using self-paced online Creo Parametric training with or without an instructor/mentor in the same room?

Hello all,   A question about drawings. Why hole axis are always orientend horizontal/vertical independently the way we created the holes ? On the capture below as you can see hole axis are always horizontal/vertical. I would like to have axis orientend like the view on the right but on the left view. Is it possible ? Thanks

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: I was updated the CPS patch from 12.1.2.0 to 12.1.2.11 on windows, Post running the setup.bat files the install went ahead and stuck at 28 % for almost 1 or 1.5 hrs and doing nothing? What can be done...? I have cancelled it but again it is saying the installer will abort after the Windchill Service Pack is complete. I am totally confused can someone guide what is the best way in this situation.Description: check use case

I have imported a DXF file in CREO and thus created an extrude out of this DXF file, using the PROJECT function.To distinguish this from a regular CREO extrude, I will call this non-native CREO extrude a DXF-import extrude (for lack of a better name).If it already has a name I will stand corrected.  Anyway, this DXF-import extrude is impossible to work with.I am trying to make it accept a different color than the background, but it does not work with regular means -- this DXF-import extrude seems to be a surface that CREO cannot handle like any other extrude generated directly in CREO without an external import. Is there a way to make this DXF-import extrude behave?Maybe create another native CREO generated surface, identical with the DXF-import one and transparently on top of said DXF-import extrude, that would be more amenable to work with?I have attached the PNG file (source for DXF), the DXF file, the part file with the DXF-import extrude and two

We are using KEPServerEX 6.17.240.0 on 2 redundant VMs to connect to several Siemens S7-400 and S7-1500 PLCs via Siemens TCP/IP and OPC UA protocol respectively. After Reinitializing, I get the following warnings for each OPC UA connections: Date Time Level Source Event05/09/2025 07:32:22 Warning OPC UA Client CHANNEL.DEVICE | The Publishing Interval for device has been set by the server. | New interval = 1000 (milliseconds), Requested interval = 500 (milliseconds). The publishing interval is set to 500ms for all devices on the KEPServer. I was shown by one of the PLC programmers that the PLC's intervals ("sampling" and "sending" intervals) are also 500ms. Most of the connected PLCs are programmed by different people so I find it unlikely that all of them set the interval to 1000 instead of 500, so I suspect the error on my side. Hi, We've set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for ThingWorx using Okta as the Identity Provider (IdP) with No CAS. When we access the ThingWorx URL, it redirects to the Okta login page. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.13How would I know whether or not a change to code in my codebase requires a restart of windchill to deploy? For instance, some customizations/changes can be deployed when windchill is up and will take effect and others require windchill to be down. So how do I tell whether or not deployable code requires a restart?

HI, First time user of the GD&T advisor, trying to add a position tolerance to one half of a hole pair (for a shaft) and a second position tolerance to the second hole of the pair, A simplified version of my part is shown in the attached image. Currently running Creo 11.0.2.0 Hole was modelled as a single hole for both pairs. With the model setup like this I am unable to select either the right or left hole to assign a tolerance. Am I missing something here or is the only way to get this working by modelling this as 2 separate holes? Thanks 

Hi Community, I have a use case where: I open a new mashup from within another mashup (e.g., via Navigation). In this new mashup, the user should enter some values. I would like one Text Field to be automatically focused when the mashup loads, so the user can start typing right away without clicking into it. Has anyone implemented this? Is there a recommended way to achieve auto-focus on a widget (e.g., via binding, service call, or JavaScript) in ThingWorx Mashups?   Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
