I am using ALD v12.3.0 and trying to export png of an frame contains an image and its caption. I have tried various settings and the text in the png seems in good quality but the image (pdf/tiff) is not in good quality. It looks like a screen view. How can I fix it?

Hi all,I am trying to automate PDF creation with Distributed Batch, and it works fine for parts only. Assemblies are failing, because of: "[-4] Error: Incomplete input data."I understand, the problem is missing files, because some parts (supplier components) are placed in another location. My config.pro contains all the search_paths needed for this, and it is already added to the DSM Configuration Files tab; but apparently it still doesn't work.(When using Creo normally, the config.pro works fine without issue).I tried some workaround by running a macro first (changing the working directory, and regenerating the drawings) before the PDF print (chaining tasks in the TTD), but without any results.I also tried absolute paths instead of relative paths in my config, but also no success. Finally, the method described here (https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/error-with-distributed-Pro-Batch/m-p/278132) worked, but it is very tiresome in my case, and need scripting,

Hi, As system and project administrator in Codebeamer I need to develop scripts to fulfil the requirements of my users, when the out-of-box functionality of Codebeamer is not sufficient. F.e. I want to prevent having multiple downstream references from items within the same tracker. Coming from RVS Trigger Scripts debugging was a pain, but there were extensive JavaDocs available. With Codebeamer all I could find was some examples (https://support.ptc.com/help/codebeamer/r2.1/en/index.html#page/codebeamer/developers_guide/649989.html#), but no documentation which objects or classes are available and how to use them. How do you actually develop custom scripts?Am I supposed to just guess which Beans are available?

The attached files are on an old PC that are working with version 20.7.When I copy these files to the new machine (in the same file location) that do not work on the new machine running 20.8. How do I get them to work? Thank you for your help

I am working on Split Pane concept. The left pane and right pane are showing. In the header pane, I want the Part information details to be displayed along with the tabs. How can I implement this? Sharing the image of my current output.I want to create a similar structure like the Part Structure. I could not find OOTB references for creating the jsp page. Could you please help me with some references?

Feed me, feed me, feed me!  It should be the job of the system admin to make sure that items are purged and unrelated files cleared from the vaults.  By what about the librarian's role?  Are you using all the models that are in the system? What about large family table libraries of common hardware? I noticed a while back the following behavior, workspace operation times seemed to be affected by the use of large family tables.  To test I created a 16 part assembly, one with no family tables, one with small family tables, and the third with very large family tables. You can see the affect below. Note the log scale. Remember, there are less than 20 objects in the workspace for all of these.  Slowness was on the server side. Hi all,I have a completely new problem with 3D and 2D symbols.This problem appeared suddenly. I never had this problem before. And after I had this problem, it also appeared for a colleague. That's why I decided to ask for advice here in the forum.What is the problem?Suddenly, I can no longer insert symbols. And symbols that I was able to insert before are suddenly no longer visible. Version: Creo 8.0.6 I import EMN files using the GET_Data->Import function.  I also have the config.pro flag to use the 'alternate ECAD name' so parts are created with the actual part number instead of an ecad geometry name.   When importing, Creo will check the current workspace for an existing part of the same name.  If found, Creo will use the existing workspace part geometry.  This is useful for certain COTS parts like commercial connectors since the vendor models are often far more detailed than the EMN/EMP's prismatic geometry. Pre-populating the vendor's CAD to the workspace results in Creo placing the vendor's CAD during the EMN import.  However, this only works when the vendor's CAD is a .prt.  If the vendor CAD is a .asm, then Creo does not find the "part" during the ECAD import.   A workaround is to convert the vendor's .asm to a .prt file using a variety of techniques, but often there are losses in cosmetic

Hello, I am using Creo 9 on a Windows 10 laptop. The issue is that I am trying to add a surface finish symbol in the drawing, but am getting the following error message: "The selected surface is already consumed by surface finish sf1 as a restricted reference. Select another surface." As far as I know, I never placed a surface finish symbol in the model at any point. I only added them on the drawing side. I deleted sf1 from the annotations tree, but the error message still pops up. Looking through message boards, I found an instance where someone used Semantic Query to select surfaces with finish symbols and then clearing them. However, when I use the Semantic Query tool, use RMB, and select clear, the symbol does not go away and is still showing when I reselect the surface. Any idea how to remove this symbol so that I can place a symbol in the drawing.

I am working on a project where I want the size of the balloons to be reduced to less than the text size or close to the text size. I tried the min_balloon_radius and max_balloon_radius options, but they only allow increasing the balloon size because the minimum value for the balloon radius can only go down to 0, which is the same as the text size. However, I want to reduce the size to less than 0.Is there any option available to reduce the size of the BOM balloon that 0?

I am using Creo Flow (not Creo Simulate Live) , as part of Creo 11.0.4.When I use the 'Generate Mesh' option, the geometry will mesh correctly the first time.However, after this, even with a very simple geometry (simple cylinder), if I make any changes to the mesh parameters, the part does not get re-meshed, it stays with the previous mesh.The only way to update the mesh is to remove the fluid domain entirely, add a new fluid domain, and then apply a mesh.There must be a way to update the mesh without having to remove the fluid domain each time?

We just recently switch from Creo 9 (because of end of life) to Creo 12 and are having major problems when importing sheets from other Creo drawings into a new Creo drawing.  Continue to get random errors, but the most common error is "Unable to merge. Target drawing contains incompatible elements. Please contact Technical Support." Never had any problems with Creo 9.  I can open a Creo 9 drawing in Creo 9 and import sheets without any issue.  Open the same drawing in Creo 12 and try to imports sheets and after 2 or 3 sheets it starts throwing error messages and will not import any more sheets. Anyone else have this issue? Contacted PTC support over a month ago and still no answer. Thanks

Hello all,Anyone aware of any protoolkit api functions to update dimensions into the cad model and regenerate it. FYKI, i have fetched dimension from cad active model using dimension visit api call and saved into a text file already. 

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: List All workspaces with its size (and User / Context)Description: I want to have a list (per user) of all workspaces together with their sizes.Over here there are some topics about it, but i followed this Support Article: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS412883The initial part workout. I got now al list of all workspaces with their corresponding user and workspace. But i am unable to figure out how i can add the size per workspace to it. I have tried to add `EPMSupporting data` (`EPMSupporting data.Data`)and that looks more like the blobname or so. Any ideas how to do this? If not plain "reportable item" workflow a little explenation help I'm not that deep in sql or java 

I am using ThingWorx version 9.3 with the MQTT Extension version 3.1. After configuring MQTT, the connection remains in a disconnected state, but it has been verified to be connected through a client tool.   

I am trying to put in foldout pages in owners manuals.  However, I cannot for the life of me get the stylesheet/publishing engine to create the landscape page. I have created a Foldout Page set to 8.5 x 11 landscape in Page Sets.I created a context and condition in the <topicref> element. The condition is "IF attribute "outputclass" = "wide"The output to edit is set to Print/PDF, and the breaks category is set as follows:Start new: PagePage set Name: Foldout Page SetPage Number: Continue When I save the stylesheet and republish, the page is still not landscape.  GRRR On a side note, I am publishing locally with the Use Publishing Engine box unchecked in the Tools>Preferences>Publishing Engine. Any ideas what I may be missing. Thanks in advance.John

While I successfully received the license file, I am unable to download the software itself.The download page requires me to upgrade my Basic account to a higher level, which in turn asks for a Customer Number and a Sales Order Number. Hello, I am able to load a cad part or cad assembly from windchill to creo parametric, but would it be possible to load the related cad part from a windchill wtpart with the creo OTK? Or is it possible to use windchill methods in the java code for parametric? Thx
