Question

VRML Files

Anyone out there use VRML to display Pro/E Files? We are looking for a free lightweight viewer to use to show Pro/E models during presentations without using Pro/E. We have output files as VRML but can see nothing using Cosmos 2.1 viewer. Any better viewers or better ways to accomplish what we want to do?

Thanks,

    Hi,
sometimes I used VRML models for presentation too. But I don't need any
free viewwer, bacause when you have installed VRML codecs and plugin (I
had it install) it will function with e.x. Apache server.
So I made it all with Pro/WebPublish in pro/e, where I export my parts and
    aassemblies to VRML.

    Hi Dwayne,

You could use e-Drawings. You can download the basic version off of PTC's
web site under downloads. The basic software is free, and it has more
capability over VRML. e-Drawings is seamless with Pro/E and you can export
    straight from the Pro interface.

    Good luck!

I think I already know the answer, but: Here goes -

Is there a way to take a VRML file and make it into a usable solid or
    surface model in Pro/E?
I can look at the files, spin, pan and zoom, but anything else seems beyond
    me.

    Any ideas?
