Wondering about whom to listen to for Pro/E topics

Fellow users, for some reason this person listed in the email below seems to
think that it's all right get onto the exploder list in order to get user
emails so he can sell his products. This is my first time dealing with a
sales guy stealing email address for personal gain. Anybody else had to deal
with this and if so what did you do to get it stopped.

I think what we're looking for here is a virtual "Do not call" list.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have had very, very few
solicitations and I don't believe that the offender in this case was
repeat offender. I'm not sure that any action needs to be taken here
other than the notice they probably already received form Jeff.

    Kinda overthinkin' this I think.

I agree with Bob and in this world of constant over-reaction, let's not.

I thought we were "instructed to" reply to the list, NOT the sender as
that disrupts the thread? I also thought we were supposed to remove the
original posting text in our reply... Or am I doing it all wrong?

I'll agree with that... definitely over thinking it... In too many
years to mention, even back to the old days, I've gotten just a few
"solicitations"... Hit delete and get back to work. 😉

Also, wondering how many of us realize that most companies create your
email address DIRECTLY from your name, and then leave a "phone list" in
the lobby by the "call phone"... I'm half thinking of sending in a
suggestion to my company to maybe rethink that to help with spam and
unsolicited email... Hmmm! I've already got my $500 suggestion award
    already spent!!! hehehehehe....

I agree, it doesn't happen a lot. But it's called "precedent". If this one is okay and nothing is done, will it get worse ?
