To date there has not been a single report of a mathcad or prime worksheet created by any AI, that would successfully be opened by the application.

The .mcdx files contained in your .zip archives do not even nearly meet the specifications of a Prime 11 file. So it is no wonder that Prime 11 refuses to work with them.

I dare say that if in the future an AI successfully creates a mathcad sheet, it would be for any of the old versions (real) Mathcad 1 through 8 or 2000 or 2001. Or else a Mathcad 13, 14 or 15 file. Those are .MCD files and .xmcd files respectively, not Prime .mcdx files.

You'll have to translate your Excel sheet to mathcad/prime the 'hard way', that is, by hand.

Success!

Hi,

There have been some past posts that dealt with the AISC shape database the latest in the post being version 16 of the AISC Excel database..  It will take me sometime to find them.

Prime can read the database as a matrix meaning all the variables are available to perform calculations of the section properties etc.

Can you upload your Excel spreadsheet for shape member check and perhaps someone will take the time to by hand convert it to Prime.

Cheers

Hi Luc et al,

Have just spent some time with AI Chat GPT uploading Mathcad Prime 10 files for Chat GPT to learn.

It has just created a simple working Prime 10 file from a text description.

Simple beginnings.

Cheers
