Error in example of polyroots

Hello ,

This is my first blog .

It is attached and it is taken from an  old  Mathcad Guide  version 7  .

I tryed the example  and the result was the same .

But  replacing the root = 1 in the  polynomial  i Obtain -8   instead of   zero  .

What is wrong  ?
