I have two floating licenses of mathcad 15.0.

But, somehow I am able to use only one license at a time.

Do anyone have any suggestion on this???

If you look in your license file you should see something like this

#******************************* Summary Table **************************

#FeatureName Qty Product Release Type E

#************************************************************************

#254 2 Mathcad Image Processing Prime 3.0 Flt Opt

#255 2 Mathcad Data Analysis Prime 3.0 Flt Opt

........

Notice especially the "2" in the column Qty and the "Flt" in the column Type.

But, somehow I am able to use only one license at a time.

What exactly do you mean by that? You have at least two machines in the network and they are set up to get their Mathcad license via a license server running the flexlm software, right. You load MC on the first machine and you get an error if you try to start Mathcad on the second? What does the flexlm software report how many licenses it has?

Some possibilities I can think of:

- If you load Mathcad and shutdown the computer the license will not be given back to the server and is therfore missing there.

- Could it be that someone has "borrowed" a license on a machine? Then this license will also be mising until it is given back or the loan period has elapsed.

I agree.

-I have 3 machines.

- I had borrowed one license for 3 days on one of the machines. Now, the 3 days are over.

- I am not able to use that license now.

- I checked the "ptcstatus" , in that it is showing 2 mathcad licenses free.

What should i do to troubleshoot this?

Please help.

What is the pctstaus after you launched Mathcad on one of your machines? It should show 1 free, but as you wrote you can't use the second license. I guess it will say 0. I cannot think of any reasaon why one instance would eat up 2 licenses. I guess you should contact PTC support with that problem.
