Mathcad Corruption

Hi. Ive noticed on a few occasions that when I copy graphics from Mathcad (V.15) such as a graph, and then paste it into a word document, that the word document becomes massive in size. What should be a 2MB document becomes 20MB. This has happened about 3 times, and I've also noticed that my matchad document also gets corrupted. So if i close it down and try to reopen I get an error message

the contents of this have been corrupted

detailed Error Information

----------------------------------

File C:\text.xmcd

Reason:

Line Number:0

character position 0;

Can anyone explain why, and how to prevent it and whether I can recover at least the tabled data that is in the worksheet.

Thanks

Jason

My don't you copy the graphs and paste into a software package like IrfanView and then paste into Word? This why the images will be very small.

I forgot to mention that you could also save the Mathcad document in rtf format and directly open in Word.

Yes I do that now, just paste into paint and then copy that image. But is there anyway to rescue my valuable lost tabled data in the corrupted file.

Thanks

How big is the corrupted file? From that information, it's possible the whole thing was wiped ...

The file is 44kb and the first few lines are :

<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /><meta name="generator" content="Mathcad Professional 14.0" /><title></title><style type="text/css">

p

{

margin: 0 0 0 0;

font-family: Arial, sans-serif;

font-size:10pt;

In that case, it's worth giving the file recovery worksheet a chance. Mike has attached a copy of one version of the worksheet in his message http://communities.ptc.com/message/181738#181738.
