Question

Mathcad installs, registers does not start

I have installed and registered Matcad 14 on Windows 7 without any error reports. Trying to executethe software results in a short timeout (rotating circle in Windows 7) and no startup. Is there a problem with Matcad 14 running on Windows 7 ??

Not that I know of. What version of Mathcad 14 are you running?

Not that I know of.

Actually, I think it depends on the version of 14

What version of Mathcad 14 are you running?

So that is the key question

I think it's got to be 14.0 M020 or later.

I can report that, after a few (four) intense phone supported activities and finally someone IT person from PTC taking over my computer via remote access the problem was solved. Do not ask me what the experienced IT guy from PTC actually did or implemented. I can tell you that I am not impressed with MathCad's installation process and support documentation or explanation of what they do to make it work. A product of that caliber shout flawlessly install under a supposedly compliant OS like Windows 7.

You can report licensing and install issues to - or log them at https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/mathcad_case_logger/options.jsp. If you have a maintenance account, you can contact technical support directly.

Either way, someone should get back to you shortly.
