well, the reason was the step function as peak. Here the working MC14 worksheet, but the minerr takes sooooo long.

How can be this made faster?

The fitting function h(t) with the optimal parameters from the paper, looks good.

Advices are welcome.

PS: I have added the second fitting function,b ut also this does not work.WHy?

ok, this is not solvable in MathCad - even in Maple the supplied OPtimization pachages could not find a solution. But for Maple there exists and add-on (Directsearch), which enables the solving of this fitting problem. I have attached the Maple Solution as PDF and the unsuccessful MCD sheet. Maybe someon outhere writes a MathCAD prg that can the same thing like that Maple Package.(I have attached the info about it)Well, finally also a MMA solution could be provided, but here we had to change the peak at the initial conditions. (See init(t)) I have attached the nb file, and the solution are a little bit others.

If you can't find the final solution I have posted in the Mathcad collab

then ask for it in "Usage" . I understand it concerns PDE's but there is

no more categories in this community because there is no global

pane like Akiva. So, everything is "Mathcad", indistinctly of categories.

Why should we navigate so many categories to see something instead

of seeing all categories, i.e: all recent posting at once ?
