New to Matlab & have tried to do the following for well over a week & wouls appreciate your kind help

f(s)=R1+{(1/s.C1)+(1/S2C2)}*{s+R2}

substitute s=jω

f(s)=______________________

I want the answer in real and imginary

Why do you put rectangular in your equation?

Its a quick way to show the result separated in real and imaginary part. Try it without and see yourself.

BTW, Werner is a male first name 😉

Guess you are wrong here as this is a Mathcad forum - not Matlab.

If it was a typo and you meant Mathcad, please post your worksheet.

You need to give more information on what you want.

Do you just what to introduce the s=j*w in the equation? or you need to solve the equation and substitute that, or...

As Werner suggested, it would make a difference to upload your mathcad sheet.
