Question

Upgrading costs?

Finally we have been given the OK to upgrade our mathcad installations (from the dreaded 12), BUT on one of the quotes that we have received there is some mention of additional costs because the current installations are "probably old single user licenses" & "The upgrade here could cost up to £810, which would be the same as the new licence."

I would have thought that most Mathcad 12 licenses would be the same - we simply installed the software & followed the simple instructions.

So I'm a little confused...

Is there anything that we need to be aware of in the upgrade?

Has anyone else come across additional charges of this nature?

or are we safe in ignoring this vendor & choosing another of the quotes that simply charge the £130 for the upgrade + the extra £160 for the next years maintainance?

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy -

To upgrade that specific version of Mathcad all you need to do is request a quote from your vendors for these two part numbers: PKG-7504-UL and MNT-7504L-T2. That will get you the software and maintenance entitlements you need to upgrade.
