Cannot reinstall MATHCAD 15 because MSXML 4.0 SP2 is unavailable

I am trying to reinstall MATHCAD 15 (JA150006E3006-Q3PF-8VYW)on a new WINDOWS 11 computer. The installation fails by telling me that MSXML 4.0 SP2 is required. The link provided is dead and Microsoft tells me that MSXML 4.0 SP2 is no longer available.
What should I do?

    Hi ppal,

     

    Thanks for the quick response.  I was able to install MSXML 4.0 SP2 using your links and the Windows 11 control panel tells me that it is installed.  Unfortunately, the reinstallation of MATHCAD 15 still fails. It was probably silly of me to expect that software that I had purchased 15 years ago would work on a new computer.  

     

    I'm going to give up on MATHCAD and try one of the free work-a-likes.  I'm a part-time contractor at Corning these days, and it would not pay me to purchase new MATHCAD on my own dime.  As plan B, I can do the same calculations in Python, but the documentation is tedious.

    How does the installation of Mathcad still fail? At least one user has reported Mathcad 15 working on Windows 11.

    So what is failing for your installation?

    I think your biggest challenge is to get Mathcad 15 licensed. PTC has stopped the license server a couple of years ago, so simple on-line licensing is not possible. You'd have to contact PTC licensing support to get your license transferred to the new PC.
