Creating a Itune deployment for MathCAD Prime 11

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to create a deployment in Intune for MathCAD prime 11 that uses the xml configuration files as a reference, but so far, I have been unsuccessful.

I was wondering if anyone has success with deploying MathCAD prime via Microsoft Intune? If so, may I ask, what command line did you use? or possibly PowerShell script if that is what you use?

Not specific to InTune, but we had to set an environment variable PIM_LOG_ENV to a temp folder to get the Mathcad Prime 10 silent install to work properly (install is running as SYSTEM via SCCM).

Other than the modification listed above, the setup.exe -xml <filename.xml> method worked fine.

Resolution

  • Silent Installation performed with a third party software like Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune is not supported by PTC
    • Workaround:
      • Set the value of system environment variable PIM_LOG_ENV to the desired folder
        This can also be done through a batch file complimenting the silent install, for example:
      • In a bat/cmd file:
        set PIM_LOG_ENV=C:\logfolder
        setup -xml mathcad.p.xml
