Spend time with the ones you love.   A group of NASA mechanical engineers were brainstorming how they might overcome the various thermal problems involved in sending a manned probe to the sun.   An electrical engineer overheard the discussion and offered the following suggestion: Why don’t you just go at night?

Hugs the ones you love.   Powers of Concentration If there is one trait that best defines an engineer it is the ability to concentrate on one subject to the complete exclusion of everything else. This sometimes causes engineers to be pronounced dead prematurely. Some funeral homes in high-tech areas have started checking resumes before processing bodies. Anybody with a degree in electrical engineering or experience in computer programming is propped up in the lounge for a few days just to see if he or she snaps out of it.

Sick day Friday.... Hope you had a great weekend.   Social Skills: Engineers have different objectives when it comes to social interaction. "Normal" people expect to accomplish several unrealistic things from social interaction: *Stimulating and thought-provoking conversation *Important social contacts *A feeling of connectedness with other humans   In contrast to "normal" people, engineers have rational objectives for social interactions: *Get it over with as soon as possible. *Avoid getting invited to something unpleasant. *Demonstrate mental superiority and mastery of all subjects.

Anyone?  I was looking at it, but man, the hotel prices are flat absurd.  Dunno if I can convince Da Boss to spend a couple grand just in hotel fees!  I went to one way back in maybe '05 in Tampa, and it was pretty cool.  Got to see some cool stuff.   Anyone here going?

I hope your bracket is not busted already.   Several scientists were all posed the following question: "What is 2 * 2 ?" The engineer whips out his slide rule (so it's old) and shuffles it back and forth, and finally announces "3.99". The physicist consults his technical references, sets up the problem on his computer, and announces "it lies between 3.98 and 4.02". The mathematician cogitates for a while, then announces: "I don't know what the answer is, but I can tell you, an answer exists!". Philosopher smiles: "But what do you mean by 2 * 2 ?" Logician replies: "Please define 2 * 2 more precisely."  The sociologist: "I don't know, but is was nice talking about it". Medical Student : "4" All others looking astonished : "How did you know ??" Medical Student : :I memorized it."

I have my admission to LiveWorx, a training day, my hotel and even airline tickets, I do want to make a request for next year.   Please do NOT hold LiveWorx in Boston again!!!! The hotels are very expensive, even with the conference rate and airfare is worse. I do appreciate the fact that it is in PTC's 'backyard' and they save on airfare, but that is about it. How many PTC employees are actually staying at their home and commuting to BCEC everyday for the conference?   Conference shows like this need to be moved around the country to get those people who may not be able to afford a Boston trip. 3 out of 4 years in Boston is too much.
