To My Fellow Women PTC Community Members (+ their supporters :), It is Friday night and some may not read this until Monday. But, I wanted to personally wish you a Happy International Women's Day! It is a day to reflect on your accomplishments and the challenges that were pushed out of your way from the women that came before you. We should all (male or female) also recognize the women that have been influential in helping us get to where we are today. My mom, my sisters, my teachers, my career mentors, and my friends that have walked beside me, "Thank you for always sticking by and helping me "balance" the pursuit of my passion, continuous learning, and life's mountain top experiences and responsibilities along the way!" Below are pictures of how PTC celebrated International Women's Day. Feel free to reply with your own company celebration pictures or tell us what women have been influential in your life!

Have a terrific weekend. Be blessed. This story is attributed to Professor Lev Loytiansky, the stage is in Soviet Union in thirties or forties. L. organized the seminar in hydrodynamics in his University. Among the regular attendees there were two men in the uniform, obviously military engineers. They never discussed the problems they were working on. But one day they ask L. to help with a math. problem. They explained that the solution of a certain equation oscillated and asked how they should change the coefficients to make it monotonic. L. looked on the equation and said: "Make the wings longer!"

A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.... I hope this new year has been treating you well. Be blessed. WHAT'S OUT AND WHAT'S IN FOR MATHEMATICAL TERMS (Michael Stueben 11/07/1994) Today it is considered an egregious faux pas to speak or write in the crude antedated terms of our grandfathers. To assist the isolated student and the less sophisticated teacher, I have prepared the following list of currently fashionable mathematical terms in academia. I pass this list on to the general public as a matter of charity and in the hope that is will lead to more refined elucidation from young scholars. thinking: hypothesizing. proof by contradiction or indirect proof: reductio ad absurdum. mistake: &nb
And the board games begin! Yes, it is the fairies versus the action heroes in this house #lostgamepieces #stillfun HAPPY NEW YEAR, PTC Community! Have a blessed and prosperous 2019! How are you spending your new year? Any goals for 2019 you care to share?
