Sketchup has been OK to work with, but Qualcomm has some kind of license for Creo, so I'm asking IT to get me going here.

Did you do anything special for your mother last weekend?       You might be an engineer if:   You can quote lines from any Monty Python movie.   You sit backwards on Disney rides so you can see how they do the special effects.   You have saved every power cord from all your broken appliances.   You know what http:// stands for.

I've got a bunch of splitting to do this weekend. What's on your to do list? (Or honeydew list?)     You might be an engineer if:   You take a cruise so you can go on a personal tour of the engine room.   In college, you thought Spring Break was metal fatigue failure.   The salespeople at the local computer store can't answer any of your questions.   At an air show, you know how fast the skydivers are falling.

March brought something special to PTC Seaport Headquarters Boston. In honor of National Working Mom's Day, March 12th, this online community manager trekked into the city with my 15 year old son to be a spectator/helper for the BRUG (PTC/USER Boston Regional User Group) kick-off meeting.  The event was spearheaded by the new PTC/USER Regional User Group leader, @MichaelBourque, a dedicated Creo advocate. Over fifty PTC software users gathered on the 17th floor, rejuvenating the Boston Regional User Group (BRUG).   GROUP PHOTO!!     The event kicked off with Michael Bourque sharing his journey with Creo, recounting his days at PTC where he contributed to developing early versions like Wildfire. Beyond his own story, Bourque engaged the audience, seeking input on future BRUG meeting topics, focusing on the impact of PTC products.   Our discussion broadened with contributions from other PTC Community members like @ScottMorris , @sdurukkar @michaelbanus

We are looking to add a CAD Admin/Support person sometime soon. Does anyone any thoughts on what we should be looking for? Is anyone out there looking?Off the top of my head, requirements that come to mind are:CAD Support, mostly Creo, some Solidworks (95% Creo)Windchill user support (not administration).Process and documentation support.Must be a problem solver with attention to detail.Ability to see what needs to be done and do it, see what needs to be fixed and fix itThis position will most likely be onsite in Lafayette, CO.We have users who would be really good at all of this, however, they want to be real Development engineers, not CAD Support engineers. We need to find someone who wants to be a CAD Admin & Support Engineer.

Use only genuine pipes.   Scottish Regiments in the Army use Army pipes in unusual ways. These are not approved of in engineering circles.

They are generally known as washers.   Joints in pipes for piping water must be water-tight. Those in pipes for compressed air, however, need only be air-tight.   Lengths of pipes may be welded or soldered together. This method is not recommended for concrete or earthenware pipes.

In the blink of an eye it is March. This reminds of my mom's sister. Every year I would call her on her birthday and ask the same question.... "What day is the world command to go forward?"    March 4th....   Miss my phone calls with her. Hug the ones you love, even it if is through a phone line....     Pipe Specifications (The series continues…)   Pipe over 2 miles (3.2km) in length must also have the words "LONG PIPE" painted in the middle, so the contractor will not have to walk the entire length of the pipe to determine whether or not it is a long pipe or a short pipe.   All pipe over 6ft (1.83m) in diameter must have the words "LARGE PIPE" painted on it, so the contractor will not mistake it for small pipe.   Flanges must be used on all pipe. Flanges must have holes for bolts, quite separate from the big hole in the middle.

WOW! Last Friday post for the month of February. Time is flying by. Do NOT miss out on time with the ones closest to you because you are toO busy!   Pipe Specifications (The series continues…)   All pipe is to be supplied with nothing in the hole, so that water, steam, or other stuff can be put inside at a later date.   All pipe should be supplied without rust; this can be more readily applied at the job site. NOTE: Some vendors are now able to supply pre-rusted pipes. If available in your area, this product is recommended, as it will save a great deal of time at the job site.   All pipe over 500ft (150m) in length should have the words "LONG PIPE" clearly painted on each side and end, so that the contractor knows it's a long pipe.
