I create parts with numerous planes and I believe it would be helpful to allow the user to change the plane color individually.
Is it possible in Creo Illustrate 2.0 to change the attribute in the Callout Partnumber Annotation from "PARTNUMBER" to some Parameter that is existing in my Creo prt files? I found in the C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\Illustrate\resources\pvplugins\galaxystartup\text\resource\CalloutTemplates.xml Line 122 <useproperty category="PROE Parameters" name="PARTNUMBER"/> but the change is not used, since a dll is precompiled and thus the changed option is not used. Does anyone know a trick or how to use other Parameters in Annotations? This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello All, I want to write 15 mm in Creo Sketch. If I write 15mm, then there is no gap or very little gap between 15 & mm. If I give 1 space between 15 & mm, then the gap between 15 & mm is too much which is looking odd. Is there any way to reduce this gap? Thanks Saurabh
I'm trying to open .dgm file in creo parametric 2.0. It is showing me an error "This functionality requires one of: DIAGRAM". How can I open this file in Creo?
English Version below ! For Users with a debility of sight for red- and green illustrations it is wished to customize the color for the following red accentuations: -Sketcher: the red Point when a profile geometry isn't closed -Model Tree: the red accentuation when there is an error in a component This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Good Morning,Does anyone know of an easy way to take the outline of a model to use as a sketch so I can calculate the area of an entire face of a model? I am trying to compute wind loads and I need the total area of a façade, not just a section? I am trying to go from the first picture to the second one in a much quicker fashion! Thank you.
Currently, I think that PTC's business model is killing innovation and is a lose-lose situation. Currently maintenance includes technical support, minor version updates/builds/fixes, and new major versions. This means that PTC has very little stock in improving its own software. This hurts both PTC and the customer. I propose reconsidering this business model by doing the following: Split current maintenance cost into 2 categories: Maintenance and new products Maintenance cost should only be for maintenance. More specifically the following: Technical support Patches Builds (including software compatibility updates) Why are major upgrades included in the cost of maintenance? New products should have the mutual incentive to get more capability for the user and more money for the software company (PTC). If the capability is not with the cost to upgrade, then the user doesn't pay for it. If the user sees significant improvements, than th

The continued growth of ASME Y14.41, Digital Product Definition Practices, in the CAD community and throughout commercial and defense arena needs to be further integrated in Creo. PTC has been aggressively moving forward with adoption to ASME Y14.41, and the inclusion of annotation planes into the product is exciting and welcome. The overall move toward using digital 3-D CAD data, rather than traditional 2-D drawing, provides great efficiencies and overall quality. Where even greater efficiencies can be obtained is to have the sketch plane during feature creation, be done in the annotation plane. Currently, the annotation plane is a virtual drawing surface. Thus basically moving the effort of drawing creation into the annotation plane, which in effect does not lower the time to create the product. Merely, it is a transfer of effort from one space, 2-D to 3-D. Seems as though the sketch plane and annotation plane can be one in the same. One could argue, how would sketches created in dif

Almost everything else can be used for construction, why not projected curves?
First semester teaching Creo 3.0 and I have found that it is difficult for students to see detail on the screen as I present. I will switched the system color scheme to black on white with a couple other tweaks to color and found that helped. Is it possible to change the font and size of sketch dimensions and constraint symbols? It would be beneficial to be able to make this larger/bolder. What other options make Creo easier on the eyes when displayed with a projector? Is there a good resource out there? Thanks.
Hello All, We would like to find software that is easy to use and can generate wiring diagram with each signal connected to connectors. Currently, we're using Creo Schematics for interconnect diagram/cable schematics and Keycreator/Visio for wiring diagram. Does anyone use different software to generate wiring diagram beside Autocad, Keycreator or Visio? Thank you in advance for your help. Sun
Is there a recommended graphics input device for CREO, specifically for use in Sketch?

In order to create DataTables for wires and prefab cables in Creo Schematics, you have to create a CSV file in Excel. If you don't include required columns (as listed in the Help section), then this information won't import into Creo Parametric correctly for Logical Referencing. Prefab cables require three separate DataTables in order to be created correctly. Good luck understanding the information in the Help section for figuring out how to do this. This process needs to be simple and intuitive, with a modern interface that simplifies the creation of DataTables. There should also be error checking prior to XML export to ensure that it has the necessary columns / data for Creo Parametric.
Please we have a question: If there how to make my own blocks in the SOFTWARE CREO SCHEMATICS? ,If yes, tell us the steps to create our own blocks. Attached image. Thank you very much. Nancy Jácome ENERGYPETROL Quito - Ecuador
Today when there is a new patch for Creo, the old installation needs to be uninstalled and the new version needs to be installed. If Creo offers within the product the new version available just like windows does or java does, it would be easier for customers to be aware of a new version. Moreover, this could be a benefit for sales as when a popup says there is new Creo 4.0 and click here to update and click here to view what is new, would already bring benefits when it comes to selling. I believe similar feature is available in solidworks. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
