In Creo Parametric 4.0, I have an assembly with different parts assigned different colors. When I convert to a STP file, exported as AP214 which is supposed to retain colors, the shade of the colors changes. For example I go from a beige color to a blinding white. Any ideas how to fix this?
Is schematics the place to ask cable routing questions?
Comparing Cadence schematics. I point to the *.cpm file and Creo stops working.
Add extend line function/button to sketcher to simplify extending line process and speed up sketch creation. SW has very simple and easy to use extend line button. Click the Extend Button, click on the line or curve you want to extend. Done! The line extends to the next line in sketcher. Click again and it extends to the next line again. How simple/quick and easy is that? No need to identify and delete existing end point constraint, drag line, then reattach......Often it is hard to identify which constraint to delete and invariably select the wrong one first. Works with straight lines, circular curves, ellipses, solid and construction lines. If line/curve is constrained at the endpoint of another curve, when you extend the line/curve the existing endpoint constraint is maintained whilst a new one is automatically made at the new endpoint. Which end of the line extends depends on which half of the line you click on. To extend the other end of th
We currently do and have done numerous piping and electrical schematics in AutoCAD. We are wanting make a change to Creo Schematics at the beginning of 2017. With our existing drawings in AutoCAD, will we have trouble inserting them into Creo, and if so what can we expect? Thanks
In case of using a real number model parameter in a sketch text, the leading zero of a parameter whose value is less than 1 appears. Users may want to remove that zero from the text.
When I use Creo Illustrate, and do a File\import\Link\ I get a list of .pvz files that the program will open from inside the program. A .3cdi file will not open from inside Creo Illustrate. However, If I double click on a .3cdi file (and Creo Illustrate has not been started), Creo Illustrate starts up and the .3cdi file is opened without any problem.I am still fairly new to Creo Illustrate so the answer to my question may be quite obvious. Please help me to understand. We use both types of files where I work and do not differentiate any (at this time) between the two forms -.pvz and .3cdi -. What is the difference? Why does Creo have to handle them differently?Thank you.Neal LewisTechnical Writer AGCO Corp.
I prefer to set all my applications to display as dark as possible to make them as easy on my eyes as I can. Office 2016 is set to black, Visual Studio is set to dark, my Creo graphics window back ground is set to a dark color, but the surrounding window elements like the ribbon, navigation pane, status bar, etc. are all bright white or light gray. I'd like to see themes implemented to darken these window elements. I mostly use Parametric, but I'm assuming this is the same across all Creo apps.
It would be very useful if a sketch could be placed on a CSYS with the view direction defined by Z and oriented with X to the Right. Occasionally, I will have a pattern of extrude features that have different clocking. My current practice is to define a pattern of coordinate systems, then define a datum plane on the X-axis of the CSYS so the sketch in the extrude is oriented properly for each instance. This proposal would eliminate the need for the extraneous datum plane. This could also be useful for creating odd-angle extrude features. A single offset CSYS can be turned and twisted as needed and then a sketch could be created without the need for two additional datum planes.
Dear Creo Users,Kindly be informed that recently I have been using Creo 2.0 . There is a good option in Creo called Palette in Sketch mode. There are certain shapes like polygon, i-section etc. which are very helpful to draw different and difficult mechanical parts in Creo. Are there any new developments or updates like any new shapes in Creo sketch Palette in newer versions like creo 3.0 and creo 4.0?With regards,Soumya Bhattacharya
HelloI do a test simply with a washer, see the sketch enclosed.I do the simulation with the whole puck and then with half of the puck as well as half of the load. And I get not the same result to Von Mises:Entire puck 750.0 [MPa]Puck half 642.0 [MPa]When you cut a piece in half to do more than the symmetrical connection.Kind regards.Denis
We would like the ability to use Pro/TOOLKIT to get the geometry of a wire harness made up of cables and tapes. Currently, you can get the cable geometry but not the tape geometry. For example, the picture below shows a wire harness with several cables and tapes. We can get the tessellated geometry that represents each cable via the Pro/TOOLKIT function ProCableTessellationGet But cannot get the tessellated geometry of the 6 tapes. The Pro/TOOLKIT function ProHarnessTessellationGet provides geometry for the entire wire harness, i.e. all the cables and the tapes as one, united tessellated mesh. However, that does not get the finer granularity, i.e. a tessellated mesh for each cable and each tape.
In this tutorial i show you how to pattern a hole along a curve. If you would like to download the model to follow along please go here. (view in My Videos)
I could not activate dimensions in the option menue of creo 3 Student version for sketching parts. There is no Option there to activate.Someone knows this Problem installing creo 3 Student Version?
Does anyone have a copy of the WEEE & CE symbols as a Creo sketch?
I'd like to use TOOLS/Find to search for dimension tolerances like table name H 7 for example. (properties of hole diameter / tolerance / tolerance table: hole / Tablename: x y) In my mind it would be nice to find dimensions and surfaces that this table name is added like searching for symbols or pre-/postfix. This option would give a workarround for coloring sufaces of holes with tolerance H7 (hole basis fit). Searching for threads is possible so coloring surfaces of holes with threads is possible at the moment. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. how to add jogs on a explode line like creo parametric can do?look the attached file
Improve Creo Every new Pro-E/Creo release was worse than existing one. Creo 3 is worse than Creo 2. I will present just several observations: 1. All command icons are pale, harder to see. 2. Many changes are made just for sake of chamges. Typical example is edit definition, instead of text now there is a icon. This is really big change, but I dont know why? 3. Creo persistantly changes dimension on its own in sketch mode. You save sketch re-open it and dimension is changed by Creo. Dimensions are created by Creo in weird way, not enginering way. 4. Colors are horrible and do not match at all. 5. Scroling in work space is erratic not continous and smooth 6. Is it possible to calm down that zoom jumping all over the screen. 7. When you select file in work space and want to o it again searching for another file is it possible to go back to last selected file? 8. When you open constrains window that window completely covers three default part planes (Top, side and front) you can't select t
Hi All. While Conversion of creo lab files From Commercial to Universal having errors . Please see the error message listed below. Error Occoured while executing commands in Hamilton C Shell. Thanks, Manoj
feature name is restricted in Creo and is always upper case - I vote up for more freedom to have also ability to use lower case and " " space inside then it will be cool
If you have two different versions of the same drawing is there a way to do a check to see what the differences are in Creo or Creoview? This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello, I work with Creo Schematics, I design electrical schematics, I search solution to follow signals easily between the different handbook pages by clicking on the connections. I would like to know if it is possible to create clickable links on the connections within the electrical schematics directly with the Creo Schematics software ? If not possible, do you know a way to do that, a solution to propose me? In result, I want a handbook containing electrical schematics in PDF format with the clickable links for jump page to page and to follow very easily the signals. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards. J. GUERINOT
Hi All, In Creo schematics how to trace path of multiple wires, in Pro diagram this option used used. Thank You, Ashok Kumar J
