I was wondering how often this new feature updates on your home page here. I've been seeing the attached everytime I login, while the subject it mentions has not had a new comment since 8-15-2019. I login here regularly, if that matters.
I very seldom go to the PTC Community Home page, but when I did, this was waiting for me. Lukas had replied several hours earlier, and Stephen about a week ago. Why would this still be there after I have already gone to the topics from the little "bell" on the top of the page?

Hi, Everyone, Happy 2 year anniversary! June 23, 2017, the PTC Community began its journey with a new community platform. It only seems fitting that while PTC is celebrating LiveWorx, keynotes and demos of the latest digital transformation technology, that our online PTC Community is able to experience some updates as well! I am excited to announce that we have a new ranking structure in place for the PTC Community. It is complete with new sets of permissions for our more active, experienced community members. The rank names on the profile pages you see today is PHASE 1 of the rank updates. Soon, you will also see a new rank icon (like this one for employees). This new rank icon will stay with all PTC Community Members as they travel throughout the PTC Community. The icon will be different depending upon where you fall in the new ranking structure. I know our veteran community me
Why does it take so long for videos to be viewable? I assume it's in moderation... If it's gonna take more than a little short time to get thru moderation, you might as well just not allow video upload, nobody is waiting 30+ hours for help or to help someone with a video! https://community.ptc.com/t5/Part-Modeling/Creo-3-Strange-behaviour/m-p/610689#M32197 https://community.ptc.com/t5/Simulation/did-you-know-pulley/m-p/610942#M7690
Just a quick update that PTC's latest augmented reality product, Vuforia Expert Capture, has been added to the PTC Community! The Vuforia Expert Capture discussion board is found in our Augmented Reality category. In a nutshell, Vuforia Expert Capture is is the fastest and easiest way to create powerful, location-specific augmented reality guidance for frontline workers. To learn more about how Vuforia Expert Capture works, you can visit the Vuforia Expert Capture page on ptc.com https://www.ptc.com/en/products/augmented-reality/vuforia-expert-capture
Effective 5/29/2019, new members registering for the PTC Community will no longer be able to use "PTC" or any of our branded product names (i.e. Windchill, Integrity, Vuforia, ThingWorx...etc) as part of their community user name (screen name). For example, a username like creoxyz will no longer be allowed under this new policy. The PTC Community Team is going through a backend process to change some of the screen names prior to 5/29/2019 that do not align with this new policy. Community members will be notified on a case by case basis if their username needs to be changed. If you would like to have your screen name changed, please send a private message to our Moderators or @Jaime_Lee.
There have been 2 problems for starting a topic that I think need addressing: Problem Possible Solutions 1 Start a topic button is not available on every topic section. a) Make available on any page on PTC community. b) Make available on all the Label pages (e.g. "Detail Drawings") when you drill down into a topic. 2 Labels are required but no suggestions are given as to what is available a) click on field and opens up a window with all possible labels hierarchically organized and allows the user tor drill down b) Change Labels to a drop down list. c) Change Labels so auto fills as you type (this would be more useful than current but you still wouldn't know what is available unless you went through all the letters of the alphabet!) 3 What are message tags vs labels a) Hover over text to provide explanation. b) help button to click that takes to a page with explanation.
If we can still create Documents on this website can you let me know how? Thanks, Lawrence

What, is it like your credit score, and just as arbitrary and unfathomable? Does anyone know? Just curious....
Is it just me or do other people experience the same phenomenon? The last few day very often when answering a question (Mathcad forum) I see either an "unexpected error" when trying to post my answer or an error is flagged and I am advised to correct the highlighted but there is nothing highlighted. Additional tries to post all have the same effect. Trying to post again a few minutes later usually works OK. Very annoying - especially as it happens quite often the last week. Today a new effect: While trying to embed a picture in my post after selecting a pic in the popup up window I get an "unknown error" and so can't push the "Done" button to complete the action. Again a few minutes later it works OK.

I just replied to a post via email (sent from my email at 2:28pm cst on 12/7/2018). A few minutes later, after I got logged in to the community, I looked at my post and it was dated yesterday...so my reply is almost 21ish hours before the message I replied too. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Assembly-Design/Problem-in-selecting-parts/m-p/584298/highlight/true#M19396
I tried to post an idea to Creo and I got "An Unexpected Error has occurred." I tried both in Chrome and with IE and I received the same message. Has anyone else tried recently? Looks like the last idea was last Friday.
The board names have improved significantly, instead of just "more" you've given us much more descriptive names. The sidebar name is still "more" . And as been mentioned before, it's not helpful to have "ideas" links from other software...In the image below, we are in the Creo Parametric board, but we have sidebar links to ideas for Parametric (good) , Direct (BAD), and addtl creo (BAD). If you are posting in Parametric (or just browsing parametric) those links seem out of place.
A couple of the sub boards need descriptions. "Customization" should have a description that it's about Jlink, Toolkit, etc. rather than custom installs, configuration, templates & drawing formats and things like that. That would go under "System administration". The Creo Parametric Tips section should make it clear that these are tips from PTC staff rather than a place to share tips. At least that's what I assume it is since posting new topics seems to be disabled.
Hi, Everyone, I wanted to introduce you to Ignacio and Leigh, who have joined the PTC Community Team. They have primarily been working in our IoT and AR categories, but you will now see them posting more frequently in the public areas of our PTC Community. Moving forward @Leigh and @IgnacioFdB will also be assisting with community administration as well as serve as my backup for critical/urgent issues. You should continue using "Notify Moderator" when you have a community concern or issue about a post, but a PM to Jaime_Lee is recommended if you have a more complex issue or need further community management attention. So welcome Ignacio and Leigh, and on behalf of the Community Management Team, we truly value your participation in the PTC Community!
Hi, Everyone, I just wanted to give you a heads up that end of day on 2/7/2019 the Pre-Event Survey will conclude and all the LiveWorx Survey Banner Ads will be removed. The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PTCCommunityPreEventSurvey To read full details, please go to this post
With Jaime's Community announcement that the PTC community was down from Friday evening until Saturday evening, why was there no advance notification of the upcoming outage? I do realize that Saturday is the least busy day for the Community, but some notice would have been nice in advance.
A maintenance activity took place between 8pm Friday, February 1st and 9pm Saturday 2nd and the Community was in read only status. If you tried to log in you may have received the eSupport alert message about the PTC Customer Support Systems with Technical Support contact numbers. We will be sure to notify the community via this "Community Announcement" process in the event another scheduled maintenance activity takes place.
