Simulate regeneration time reduction techniques?

Every time I enter into the simulate the regeneration taking too long time. Is there any technique to reduce regeneration time or can we pause it?

Please confirm that you are discussing simulate live. I think there are some topics already covering slow simulate live conditions but since I don't have that functionality its not really on my radar.
